Freckled Duck Stictonetta naevosa Endangered in Victoria September 11th, 2018 Keysborough, Victoria, Australia Canon EOS 1D X Mark II Canon EF 600mm f4L IS II USM lens Canon EF 1.4x III Extender Probably my favourite Australian duck species - the magnificent Freckled Duck! Their plumage is spectacular! I have really struggled to photograph this species in the past, however this Spring I found a local small wetland that up to a dozen of these ducks were frequenting. The wetland is located in a housing estate so the ducks were quite comfortable with people nearby.
