This large billabong is home to hundreds of waterbirds & apparently a few Crocodiles as well! I was keen to have an opportunity with these Pied Herons as they have such wonderful coloured plumage. A very regal looking bird.

This large billabong is home to hundreds of waterbirds & apparently a few Crocodiles as well. There were quite a few Comb-crested Jacana on the billabong, including several with young. They would dart about the lilies & quickly change directions with a bit of a flap & splash!
